Happiness May Occur

1.
Almost 04:28
Almost Driven by the faint distant hopes of what might be--what might have been--we all too often find that what we want or what we need is just out of reach. ...leaving us misdirected and wasting in the realm of the Almost.
2.
Charm 04:42
Charm For numerous months I had this melodic theme in my head...begging to get out. I tried drawing it out with "Your Turn Now" and "No Room at the Table" on the Second Thought album, but to no avail. It stayed there, haunting me for nearly half a year. But finally, on the "third time...", I got it. Ah....now I can sleep again.
3.
Glimpse 05:44
Glimpse We never see the entirety of anything...including ourselves. All we see are fragments...shards of the whole...barely more than glimmers. Having nothing more than a glimpse to go by, what do YOU see?
4.
I Don't Have a Words With Way What can I say?
5.
In My Sleep 07:20
In My Sleep So, did I write this in my sleep? Or did I fall asleep when I was writing this? Hmmmm...honestly I don't re..... zzzzzzzzzzz
6.
Mia 04:31
Mia I wrote this piece for my youngest daughter, Mia, the "Princess Fairy" of the family. (Long live the princess fairy!) You'll find some similarities between this piece and "Kodi". That's because, originally, I tried to make what are now two seperate pieces ("Mia" and "Kodi") one larger more complex piece. But, it just wouldn't work. So I pulled these two pieces apart, but they still share some common themes. I dare you to listen to her laugh and not smile. It's just not possible! :)
7.
Mutes And Mimes Whether it's the ability to speak, the capability to trust, or the courage to love, some of us are mutes, and some of us are mimes. There are some who can't, and then there are others who just pretend they can't.
8.
Ollie Ollie Oxen Free 1... 2... 3... Ollie Ollie Oxen Free! You can come out of hiding now, and not be "IT".
9.
Tired of waiting ...to be old enough. ...to be tall enough. ...to be patient. ...for you to like me. ...for you to love me. ...for you to forgive me. ...for things to be like they used to be. ...for me to realize I'm the only one waiting. ...for me. ...for me. ...for me.

about

Dan Tharp Champaign, Illinois

I'm Dan Tharp, a solo acoustic guitar player who plays classical and steel string guitar....but only in my spare time.
I've been playing guitar off and on since I was young but never could bring myself to perform or record because of stage fright and that crazy voice in my head that keeps telling me I'm not good enough to make a living at it.

So, I play just for fun.

I hope you enjoy the music.
